Swirl Bath Shower Mixer Tap
Pretty but poor performer
I'm on my 2nd one now and keeping my fingers crossed. The 1st had continual problems with seal at the washers on tap body despite every combination of hand-tight to wrench tight, threads taped and not, washers coated with petroleum jelly and not.
Replacement washers a nightmare to find which echoes other reviewers concerns over spare part availability.
Screwfix had no issues replacing this but with the faff it is to un then reinstall I can say if this one fails also I'll take a refund and get a different brand

As an entry level tap this is good value, ideal for rental properties. Nice that there is a diffuser fitted in outlet so water flow is a good stream.

Dubious at first to buy, as this was to replace old basic bath taps. I am not a plumber. Excellent build quality, good construction and a lovely classic design. I find this product excellent. Not mentioned is that is also comes with a wall holder for the shower head. If you are an amateur and attempting to install this yourself, you need two essential pieces of equipment:
A basin wrench
A tap back nut spannerhttp://www.screwfix.com/p/rothenberger-tap-backnut-spanner/27337

if only looks mattered
Good looking mixer but even fitting it was difficult. it leaked when connecting the two halves together. I ended up having two wrecked rubber sealing washers. I use good old ptfe and o rings. After a very short time the change over lever became very stiff and I returned it for a new mixer. The same thing happened with the new one and I ended uo getting my money back and buying a Bristan 1901 which is much more expensive but in another league.
To be fair Screwfix have been very fair with no quibbles but you still have to spend time replacing it at your expense. These problem appear on other feedbacks.
