Rated 5 out of 5 by A very good pump I would recommend this pump as it is very easy to fit 9 May 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great pump. The shower pump failed (after many years service) and I was looking for a replacement. I was suprised to find a Stuart and Turner pump for this price. We have a Stuart and Turner pump which supplies all hot and cold water to an 'on suite' in another part of the property, that has run silently and efficiently for over 8 years. I fitted this new pump in 20 minutes, as the push fit and hand tighten joints are simplicity itself. Purged it and switched it on and was pleasantly suprised by the flow rate and how quiet the pump was. Educated guess on the score for reliability but if the other S and T pump is a marker then it will get top marks in 10 years time. 29 Mar 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Shower success Recently fitted a new shower and enclosure to a new bathroom..... really looks smart ,unfortunately the dribble of water from the new fancy mixer valve just didn't impress! Spent a little while researching various options, Stuart Turner have an excellent reputation for quality pumps, this model is a reasonable price with a good output. It has a plastic casing and it comes with easy push fit connectors and an isolation valve, be careful not to overtighten the fittings, there is no need!! Stuart and Turner have a very helpful advice team if you are unsure of anything and will confirm if you have chosen the right pump. I fitted this pump to boost the pressure of the hot water, we use mains pressure cold water. As it's only been fitted a couple of days I can't comment on reliablity, however, the shower is totally transformed, a real blast of hot water. The pump is reasonably quiet in operation and easy to fit. Overall very pleased with this pump, does exactly what we wanted! 6 Dec 2014

Hello DrSimon
If the electric shower is connected directly to the rising mains cold water supply then no, this pump is not suitable.

However, if the shower is connected directly to the cold water mains supply and does actually already deliver some flow of water, a Stuart Turner Flomate pump could be used to boost the mains water pressure.

Does this pump just does cold water, and does it automatically sense water flow?

Hello JohnDuff

This unit has a single pump head so it can pump either cold water or hot water assuming that you have a gravity fed plumbing system. If you want to pump hot and cold water to a shower mixer valve you would either need to use two single head 'Universal' pumps or one twin head pump.
This pump does automatically sense water flow as long as that flow is at least 0.8 litres per minute.
