Starrett 64mm Holesaw
A great hole cutter
Starrett hole cutters do exactly what it says on the box. They cut holes. They cut holes in anything from a soft material like wood and right up to steel, including stainless and cast, and more or less everything in between.
To use a Starrett hole cutter you will need a drilling machine and a Starer arbour. I would not suggest that you try to use one with a hand held drill. Not only would that be dangerous but more importantly you would not be able to control the cutter properly and would end up with either a mis-shapen hole or a damaged cutter or possibly both. There would also be the possibility of burning the drill out. There are two Arbours that cover more or less the whole range of hole cutters. An A1 and an A2. The cutter is loosely screwed on the the arbour then the dive ring pushes the drive pins into the cutter. So easy to use. So simple.
My experience of Starrett tools is that they cannot be bettered and as a bonus the Screwfix price is quite good as well. I give this tool five stars all round.
