Stanley FatMax Xtreme Retractable Knife
Great piece of kit
Great quality, good design. Feels like its been made to last. Sits nicely in the hand reducing fatigue. Storage facility in the handle for a ten blade cassette means fewer trips back to the tool box.

Forget the rest.....
Quite the best Stanley/Utility knife I've ever had.
Particularly like the way the blade retract is locked with the side knob.
Comes with 10 blades. Blade change easy
Reasonable value at £12.99.

Recommend this to anyone who uses a Stanley knife

In short, tried to use it once and am sending it back.
This knife doesn't seem to know whether it's a fixed blade or retractable. The large brass dial needs to be unscrewed to open the body - I have no problem with that.
Unfortunately, when the dial is screwed down to close the body and the blade is extended, the blade is then clamped in position. If the body is screwed together when the blade is retracted, the blade can't be extended.
Having to release the body every time you want to extend or retract the blade completely defeats the purpose of an extending blade knife - it's no longer quick and convenient.
Waste of money.
