Squire Steel All-Weather Combination Padlock Black 52mm
Once again bought a lock for £26'00. This is due to the Bowling Green being a lock up and many people use the facilities. New purchased 2 weeks ago and once again the lock as failed to operate thus locking us out. Will have to climb over paliside fence to get key for double gate then angle grind the lock off. Totally disgusted with the item. Have to stick with combination due to amount of people using green.

I was sceptical at first as many people complained that this padlock was not very good when wet / a few weeks old, but this one seems very good, I think they may have improved the design,

I have already reviewed item 76596 which is mechanically identical to this but Screwfix's system does not allow you make another review for the same product. After 5 months use and regular lubrication with the recommended WD40, the button in the base (which pushes in once you have the right combination to release the lock) has broken off. it appears that the button is plastic and has a very small (1mm) shaft which attaches the button to the release mechanism and this shaft has sheared off rendering the lock unuseable unless you have a small nail in your pocket to push the lock inwards! I am searching now for my receipt as I think this is a manufacturing fault and should be refunded or exchanged.
