Rated 5 out of 5 by Does what it says on the box What can I say they are Spax screws. These ones are going to make a stage prop chimney and fireplace. You don't even question any of the contents. Worth it for never going wrong. 18 Aug 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Spax screws I always try to use Spax screws a bit more expensive but worth it . 10 Aug 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Hard to chew! Using either a power or hand driver these screws went almost effortlessly into ceiling joists. Pleasantly surprised to see how hard it is to chew the heads if the driver becomes misaligned! 4 Aug 2016

Answer:
Unfortunately the SPAX 4.0x70 woodscrews would eventually rust. We would always recommend Stainless Steel for external use.
