Rated 5 out of 5Â by Fightshop Spax Screws Excellent
The Spax screws are excellent quality and the heads are very hard and do not thread.
Had to relay and replace 15-18mm floorboards. Did a google search on what the best screws to use where. Have used 50cm size 6 turbo screws before. However realised that that 40mm size 4 do the same job.
Have bought my 2nd box to finish off my job. Well worth the money. Hassle free no pilot holes needed to stop the timber splitting.

serrated screw threads do not negate need to pre-drill (unlike other brands)
pooly manufactered. second screw driven refused before countersinking. Head rounded during removal.
utter rubbish, will be returning.

What can I say they are Spax screws. These ones are going to make a stage prop chimney and fireplace. You don't even question any of the contents. Worth it for never going wrong.
