Rated 5 out of 5Â by Lumpsandbumps Brilliant for Hand Sanding
Hand sanding ogee skirtings left my fingers raw. Canât use a sanding block and getting into all the details requires being able to feel the contours so normal work gloves are useless. Previously I used old leaky washing up gloves that were no longer any good for washing up. Whilst washing up gloves are OK their resistance to abrasion is poor and being thin they donât last long so I thought I would try these. I have to say they have been brilliant! I have large hands and they fit well. They are comfortable and unlike washing up gloves donât make my hands sweaty. Most importantly they are thin and flexible enough for good tactile feel and the abrasion resistance is great. I would have worn out several washing up gloves but these are still going strong. They conform to EN388 standard with 4141 rating. I have since learnt that each digits in the rating signifies how good they are at resisting various mechanical hazards. The first 4 is resistance to abrasion and is the highest rating available. Google EN388 for more information on what the rating means.

Lovely looking gloves with good grip and durability but although packet and gloves say 'large size' these gloves I would suggest are only 'medium'. Too tight for me (other large gloves I have used have been fine) so the wife gets to use them. Very disappointed!

Great gloves that really take some stick! Used for clearing rubble etc but thin enough for some more delicate jobs. My wife has also pinched them for gardening! Explaining why I have been back for more!
