Site Trench Safety Wellington Boots Black Size 12
Top marks Screwfix
I bought my first pair of these last Winter. since then I have used them extensively, both for odd outdoor work jobs and much more for walking the dog on the South Downs.
I was initially quite surprised to discover how comfortable they were. Previous wellingtons have been impossible to walk any distance in, but not these.
The sole is flexible, grippy and easy to hose clean. The fitting is wide and generous enough that you don't notice the toecap (until it gets cold but then all steel toe caps do that).
Easy to put on and take off and they have lasted almost a year whereas I expected maybe 3 months - 6 months.
Eventually they split across the toecap join on the right boot. However I had been using them on a job where it was wet outside and there was no need to remove them inside so I was half-kneeling and bending that boot in a way that weliies normally wouldn't get bent.
No complaints and despite them hiking in price by about £4 since I last bought some, I've just got a new pair.
I didn't even bother to look at what else was available this time around and hopefully the new ones will be similarly excellent.

As willies go they are comfortable, most importantly dry, with little rubber dimples inside on the legs to stop your socks falling down into the foot.

Site wellington boots
Warmer than my old boots, easier to put on and off, still a good fit (remembering oversize anyhow) with thick socks.
Well satisfied so far and feel they will serve me well.
