I fitted quite a few of these for a while as they are simple for customers to use and they are cheap. I have now had to replace almost every one usually within 2 years or so of being fitted. Pay more for another manufacturers product and save yourself wasted time and money.

I had one of these fitted to my house and one at a rental property, both were about 18 months old and have gone faulty in the same way. All the leds light up as though the stat is working correctly but when I test across the switched contacts nothing is happening until I tap the receiver then the boiler will fire up.
Very disappointed because when these work they are a great little stat that is easy to fit and easy to use.

Easy to fit and worked as advertised for just over the 12 month guarantee period. After this time there was a random error where, even though the room stat was demanding heat and the receiver was giving normal indications, the boiler would not fire up. Error traced to sticky relay in receiver. Will have to be replaced which makes it anexpensive luxury for one year's use.

This controller doesn't repond to 0.5 degree changes in temperature, only whole degrees.
This means that the temperature drops a whole degree before the unit realises what is going on, then it has to catch up.
It might not sound much but it is noticable, because instead of the room staying at the set temperature, it dives up and down.
The other issue is that it will sometimes, without reason, fail to link to the receiver meaning that you have to manually reset the link. I've resorted to writing how to do this down and sticking it next to the receiver in case it happens when I'm not there.
Not much fun having to reset it at 5 oclock in the morning when I'm trying to get out to work.
