I've had one of these for two years. This is a silly way to over complicate a simple room stat. It often loses wireless connectivity, you can't move the Stat very far from the receiver without dropping the connection. Every few months you need to change batteries and get the whole kit to re-pair. It all looks to be working fine but the house gets cold. I like Hi-Tech but only when it works and stays working. KEEP IT SIMPLE, get a hard wired wall stat.

I've been using these programmable stats for a couple of years now and have never had a problem.
Easy to explain how to use which is ideal as I don't want to be getting into deep heating program conversations at the end of a boiler install.
Great value for money..
The only downside is there is only two on/off times when Part L now stipulates at least three on/off settings, so doesn't satisfy current energy efficiency requirements..

I spent ages browsing the dozens of different programmable digital thermostats on the Screwfix and other sites, and was impressed by the clarity of the .pdf Instruction Manual for the Siemens RDJ10-GB. It seemed to do everything I wanted, and would be simple to fit.
Fitting was simplicity itself, apart from having to file down my smallest electrical screwdriver as the recessed contact screws are very small diameter.
I was slightly confused with the wiring diagram, but found a call to the Technical Helpline was answered swiftly and problem solved - live feed from boiler goes in L1, and switched return to boiler goes in Comm.
A better explanation of the terms used in the wiring diagram would be helpful.
We've had a heatwave since fitting, so not much opportunity to observe performance, but display is very clear and it seems to be going through the programme cycle OK.
The only missing feature is the abiliy to have a different programme at weekends, but even without that this seems excellent valude for money.
