Looks great definitely need drill for pilot holes and ideally electric screw driver.
Fitted to ground with 75mm fencing post inserts and it is really strudy so didnt need concrete or flag base than laid a short eckign bit to fron of the arbour..
Is a 2 person job to erect but I managed alone so can be done by one person if experienced enough just takes a bit longer.
Fits perfectly in corner of the garden and feels cosy.
Screwfix were the best price and eliver came in less than the 21 days advertised.
I put it up and gave it the protective coating then dismantled and painted again as I put it up so it will be ok for 2/3 years now but will do the roof every year.
My wife is delighted with it now its up and it is a real feature to the garden making use of space that was not being used.
I highly recommend this product and saving money by sourcing throiugh screwfix.

A few words regarding previous reviews. External wood is pressure treated and hence fairly wet when sawn machined etc so you have to accept there will be some ragging and rough edging. it is unreasonable to comment negatively on this. A little preparation sanding and painting with at least two coats of protection is essential prior to assembly if you want a long lasting outdoor product. Also not practical to expect "machined precision" with timber fit. Try spending much more money on precision cut timber, Assemble it outside and after two weeks you will have joint gaps everywhere. That is how it is in our climate. Preparation, as with everything, is 80% of the time required, Assembly 20%. Top tips... prepare and paint before assemble. Can be assembled on your own with care. have a large G Clamp ready to fit first pair of sides together, Simples. Assemble roof joists one at a time to centre timber. When you have two assembled fit first cross piece to give you a sturdy structure to progress with. have a couple of blocks to sit centre piece on as you work around to maintain correct shaping. Final squaring up will be automatic when you secure to side panels. (Lifting the roof assembly needs to be done with care if on your own as it is heavy and unwieldy. 2nd pair hands helps here). Seal all roof joints with mastic and you can sit inside dry as a bone in the rain. All in all excellent value for the Money. Shire themselves could not have been more helpful. Arranged delivery date, (10 days from order with Screwfix). Back up call from Shire day before delivery to assure all on track. Arrived exactly on day and time promised. All on single pallet well packaged. No items missing.

I was glad I took a gamble and ordered the Shire Arbour just from seeing the photograph and description given on the Scewfix website. Easy construction for the DIYer and looks first class in my garden. Quality product. Good customer service from Shire as well, kept me well informed re delivery. Highly recommended.

Took 2 big strong men 3 hours to put together, design of centre roof piece could have been easier. Overall excellent.
