I could not make this hinge act as a push-to-open one, as the strong spring holds the door against the magnet on the end of the touch catch. This means the touch catch will only open the door leading edge about 10 mm because the spring tends to keep it closed. In other words, the spring is not reversed. The description 'allows the door to open with an effortless, light touch', is just not the case. A clear example of an item which is not fit for the intended purpose. The hinge is well made and if the spring was reversed or even removed, I expect the hinge could be made to work as intended.

if you are buying these to work on a push to open door , don't bother , they are not suitable. The hinges are spring loaded but not reversed as stated , basically they pull the door closed , not push out wards which is necessary for the push mechanism. The push mechanism simply can not push the door clear because of this , my solution , break out the plastic spring mechanism , now they work a treat !!!!!!!
