Rated 4 out of 5Â by ElectricScrewdriver Great piece of kit, poor manual
A great log splitting machine, looks well built and made to last. Arrived within 36 hours of order, so no complaints there. However, it is let down by poor instructions in manual regarding assembly of the frame/stand- instructions are almost non existent. Assembly is a difficult operation one handed- I would advise two people. Even with 2 people it would have been so much more helpful if there had been guidance and more advice about assembly. I called the technical line who were extremely helpful but this should not have been necessary.

as per reviews the log splitter looks like a well built , sturdy and robust machine, what really impressed me though was the service and especially the delivery time , even though you said it would be 7 days it arrived in 2 Thanks Screwfix will look forward to doing more business with you in the future. carl.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Cookie1986 A great machine!
Splitting logs with an axe can be very satisfying though hard knotted wood can be a nightmare never mind the danger of glancing blows on smaller diameter logs
The Scheppach log splitter is so powerful it seems to take everything in its stride. It is easy to operate and feels extremely safe given the power it can apply. In one day I completed a task that had been on my "to do" list for the past 6 months. I am now thinking of offering a service for my neighbours! It can easily split logs of less than 5cm (from a control perspective) to the 25cm specified with the machine
The machine seems to be very well engineered and I would expect many years of use. Too early to really discuss reliability though see no major weaknesses
I also have nothing but highest praise for the whole supply chain - all in all a thoroughly satisfying experience
Perhaps the only issue I had with the design was the difficultly of assembling the legs for the wheels as it was not easy to gain access with my hand to locate the nut on the bolt - definitely a 2 man operation. The reason I only gave it 4 stars for features
