Rated 3 out of 5 by Great Product Poor Dust Bag Recently acquired this product to reduce dust when using a belt sander. Managed to connect the hose to the belt sander with a little bit of giggling, not a perfect fit. The dust extraction was effective for a while until I was dust bellowing from the rear of the unit. The paper/cloth type dust collection bag began to pull apart from the metal spring clip in fact it instantly began falling and pulling apart while attaching from new, after about ½ an hour use the dust bag became totally unattached from the metal spring clip holding it, hence dust everywhere. I managed to overcome this little problem and managed to re-fixed the dust bag to the plastic tube with a bit of persuasion, only to find in a matter of minutes the bag itself split. Good bit of kit, just the dust collecting bag is not up to the mark. 18 Jan 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Job done Bought this to save on mess while sanding doors and floors etc due to major decorating. This is just what is needed sucks all the sawdust only complaint is that the connector onto the bosch sander is too small forced it on and had a small split on hose connector nothing major could do with a selection of adaptors. 8 Oct 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Well designed dust extractor A well designed dust extractor. All the hose, nozzles and lead are stored in the extractor, making it easy to carry around, to store and ensures everything is there next time you use it. It also performs very well, successfully containing the mess that would result from using a circular plunge saw on chip board flooring. Having used it, I wouldn't be with out it. It is also reasonably priced. 14 Sep 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 shame about the hose Powerful little motor. Can be used with lid down Bag capacity is plenty for a home workshop. Only fault was plastic hose not flexible enough and will split if it gets kinked. In fairness, screwfix provided a replacement hose with no hassle. If the hose had been better quality I would have rated everything 5 star. 14 Sep 2015

I need a dust extractor for the Record Power DBS150 sander.

1) Will this be sufficient in terms of power (I don't mind emptying th e bag regularly

2) The sander appears to have an exit port of 60mm, where would I find an adapter to connect the two?

Hello The hd2p has a hose connection outlet of 28mm inside diameter and an outer diameter of 34mm , there is no adaptor kit with this model , the hd2p would be suitable for light diy hobby use on a small disc / belt sander , however i would recommend the scheppach ha 1000 as this machine comes with 4 piece adaptor kit one of which is 58mm inside diameter and 62mm outer diameter , the machine also comes with 5 filter bags , filter cartridge and a 2mtr x 100mm hose and has a filling capacity of 55 litres .

I've recently bought the Titan TTB674TAS 254mm Table Saw 230-240V from Screwfix (both highly recommended btw) and wondered if this particular dust extractor could be fitted to it?

Answer:
With an air capacity of 120 m3/h, the Scheppach HD2P is a powerful dual function vac which is ideally suited to being able to blow away loose debris as well as extract fine dust. However, though it might have sufficient power to suck up some moisture from in and around a boiler, it is designed to extract dry dust only and not function as a wet/dry vac. Any moisture collected would go directly into the filter bag and may reduce, or even harm its performance as a dust extractor. Thanks for the question.
