Rated 5 out of 5 by scheppach dmt450 What a brilliant machine for the money. I'm new to woodturning and jolly glad I picked this one. It's quiet, robust easy to use even for the begginer. Within an hour of setting up I had made an auctioneers gavel. Just remember to keep chisels sharp. 28 Aug 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Ideal Beginers lathe Received this as a Christmas present last year having never used a wood lathe, A solid piece of kit that hasn't let me down at all in a year of regular use, heavy enough to use without bolting it down although that might be a wise precaution. The 8tpi spindle gives the option of plenty of attachments and i recommend a chuck as a must to go with the machine. Instructions could be better tho , plenty of common sense safety notices & the EU conformance notices but not much info on how to set up and operate the machine. 15 Dec 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Absolutely superb little lathe I bought this to use alongside a much larger and more awkward lathe to make some smaller bits n pieces which I wouldn't normally have turned due to the hassle of setting the big lathe up. I can only say I'm delighted with the lathe, it's quiet, easy to move around easy to setup and a pleasure to use. Done more turning since I got this than I've done in ages. Perfect and for the money it's got to be one of the best buys you could put in your workshop. 3 Dec 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by great compact lathe Have owned 2 larger lathes over past years but space saw the need for a smaller model, this fits the bill delivered within 48 hours and ready to use, no need to bolt down so smooth and its own weight keeps it very steady quietest lathe have owned so easy to adjust look forward to long use would recommend to anyone with limited space and not a lot of expense to get started. 18 Jun 2015
