Rated 5 out of 5Â by JasonAardvark Best Value Clamp
This is first class value for a clamp. The screw thread gives a much more positive grip when gluing up which the hand grip ones don't. A bit of fettling is needed to suit woodworking. A 17mm x 25mm piece of wood in the channel stiffens them up and a 38mm x 38mm piece of plywood in the jaws fixed with some double sided tape gives better protection to your wood. Overall a very versatile and useful clamp.

Not the best but for the price ok,my advice would be to buy a better one.Was going to buy two but local store had only one in stock, glad I didn't plastic end came off T bar lost, misaligned sliding clamp will not adjust properly it locks up 25mm from end, disappointed but managed to do the job.

These aluminium sash clamps are nowhere near as good as Screwfix's original red cramps. With these cramps the heads are too loose on the beams so that when tightened the heads jam on the beam before contact is made. The rubber endcaps come off too easily and you lose not only the cap bit the tightening bar as well. The beams are not as substantial as the red ones so flex more (I use a timber insert to increase rigidity). I only recommend these for the price and nothing else, but if you are prepared to do a fair bit of fettling they are great value for money.
