Rated 5 out of 5 by from salamander Home Boost Great purchase,I had problems with low water pressure on an unvented hot water(steel) cylinder, this solved the issue .a cinch to fit and came supplied with adapters for 22 and 15 mm pipes, a lot quieter than any shower pump ive had. I FINALLY got a power shower!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good pump after a false start First pump installed worked for a few hours and then gave up, but screwfix replaced it with no hassle. Had the second pump installed for just over a week now and all is working as it should, water pressure has been significantly improved and taking a shower is now a pleasure. The noise from the pump is a little louder then I thought but you soon get used to it. Point to note though other reviewers say the fittings are in the box but having had two pumps I can confirm there are no fittings in the box and you need to purchase these before you install.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Low water pressure? Over the last few months my water pressure had been dropping more and more. After a neighbour had some underground pipe work done it dropped to the point where my shower would hardly function. Not being in the position of being able to spend a fortune getting new pipes laid by the water-board, I stumbled across this Salamander home boost pump after an internet search. After fitting new pipework from the main to a under the sink cupboard, I fitted the pump. My water pressure shot up when the pump kicked in and although it's not like having Niagara Falls throughout the house it does power the water through the pipes. Having said that it still falls a little short if the downstairs water is running and I'm taking a shower. All in all, it does the job, as long as you're sensible with your water use and don't expect waterfall speed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Salamander Pumps HomeBoost HB Fitted 2 days ago. nearly doubled water flow, a little noisy as fitted near stop cock in dining room, but well worth the inconvenience. A bit expensive but having had very poor water flow we can now have an electric shower and actually enjoy it even when another tap is turned on in the house!!!

Suitable for shared supply?

Our supply is shared with 3 other houses, so our pressure and flow varies according to our neighbours usage. Wouldn't this pump result in our neighbours having their supply fluctuate even more when our pump kicks in?
Asked by: GeePee56
Dear Customer, The Homeboost does take the water directly from the main so if you were using your pump it could reduce there supply if they were to use it at the same time. in your instance where the main is split we would advise everyone on the line installing the same pump as the main enters there property providing your current flow rate falls inline with the Homeboost minimum and maximum requirements. if you would like any further assistance with this you can call our technical team on 0191 516 2002 and we will be happy to help. Kind regards

At what l/mins does the pump become active?

Is this sustainable for electric showers fed off the mains?
Asked by: Bingo123
Dear Customer, The Homeboost is compatible with electric showers, but it would also depend on the shower/installation as to if it were suitable, so we can check this could you call our technical team on 0191 516 2002 and we will be happy to help.

Can you use the boost pump with megaflow?

Asked by: Bilja
You could use a Homeboost on a Megaflow if your flow rate is less than 12 ltrs per min it would bring it upto 12 ltrs per min providing you can meet the installation criteria. However as a Megafow needs 15 to 17 ltrs per min to operate correctly it wouldn't allow optimum performance, the only way to achieve this with a pump would be to use one of our super booster packs either the ESP80sb = 2.4 bar or the ESP120sb = 3.6 bar fed from a storage tank however this would be a much bigger job. The reason for moving from the mains to a tank and booster set is because water reg's state the most that can be boosted directly from the mains is 12 ltrs per min, as the Megaflow needs more than this it would have to be done from a storage tank. If you follow this link it will take you to one of our Superbooster pack and you can download an installation guide so you can see the layout of the installation: http://www.salamanderpumps.co.uk/pumps/esp-range/esp120-booster/ you can also call our technical team on 0191 516 2002 if you wanted to discuss any of the above and we will be happy to help.

Fitting

Can I fit this to the supply pipe of my electric shower? Don't need to increase pressure to rest of house
Asked by: Perplexed
Dear Customer, To be able to check the suitability of the Homeboost with an electric shower we would need to know your current flow rates into the property and also the make and model of the shower so we can check the minimum required pressure. so we can check this could you call our technical team on 0191 516 2002 and we will be happy to help. Kind regards
