Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does what it says on the tin You get what you pay for with paint and suchlike. Ronseal is a little bit more expensive but it is a better product. Really is one coat and less mess. A bargain when on offer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product Used many times now, all different colours I normally go for dark oak as it tends to last longer, very pleased with the finish The last three times I have used it I have sprayed it on. The last time I didn't even water it down, just gave it a good stir.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good value for the DIY'er Bought this when on offer and the colour is amazing. You'll only need one coat on previously coated fences and minimum two on new surfaces.

Thanks for your question. Unfortunately not, the structure of the product does not lend itself to spraying irrespective of the equipment used.

Thanks for your question. Fencelife Plus is a better product and of course has the 5 year colour performance but two coats will be required on rough sawn timber. So more time applying the product is required with the benefit of superior performance in the long term.

If the sprayable fence life is wax enriched and the one coat version is water repellant - what is the difference ? both water based and both repel water. you get 9ltrs of one as apposed to 5ltrs of the other for the same price.
can I spray apply the one coat version? if not why not? Or is it a lot thicker?
Thanks

Answer:
Hi thanks for your question. Only the Sprayable version can be sprayed I'm afraid, the brushable version does have a different viscosity and structure which makes it ideal for brush application but not spraying. The Sprayable version has better covering power and higher resin content hence the price difference.

Answer:
Thanks for your question, the One Coat Fencelife is only suitable for use on rough sawn timber, whilst safe once dry it doesn't protect smooth timber which I assume the climbing frame will be manufactured from.

Answer:
I do use it on smooth planed wood eg some sheds and bespoke fences, However I would not use this product on an area of planed wood which subject to regular contact . It works best on rough wood.

Answer:
The COSHH data sheet is shown on the Screwfix website. Briefly, it contains no hazardous ingredients. That's no surprise as the stuff is absolutely useless at protecting wood against insects, fungi or water. I suggest that a coat of your child's poster paint would be just as effective, and more fun for them to apply.
