Rated 4 out of 5 by Ronseal One Coat "brushable." Once the timber had been prepared, removed cobwebs and debris etc the One Coat went on very smoothly and had great coverage. The finish is tip-top. I would recommend this product. 14 Jul 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Fence paint Purchased this paint to cover a new gate and to paint over an existing cedar red painted fence, Covered the gate well, needed a couple of coats, make sure you put plenty on and don't spread the paint, smooth wood needs a few extra coats, Covering the cedar red paint is going to take 5 coats just to hide the red 6 Jul 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by A good balance I have covered every bit of wood in my Garden that has needed it. I thought the paint might of gone further but I think it was down to the fact my fence panels needed the protective moisture. It looks lovely after a couple of coats and repels the rain very well once dry. 6 Jul 2016

Thanks for your question. Unfortunately not, the structure of the product does not lend itself to spraying irrespective of the equipment used.

Thanks for your question. Fencelife Plus is a better product and of course has the 5 year colour performance but two coats will be required on rough sawn timber. So more time applying the product is required with the benefit of superior performance in the long term.

If the sprayable fence life is wax enriched and the one coat version is water repellant - what is the difference ? both water based and both repel water. you get 9ltrs of one as apposed to 5ltrs of the other for the same price.
can I spray apply the one coat version? if not why not? Or is it a lot thicker?
Thanks

Answer:
Hi thanks for your question. Only the Sprayable version can be sprayed I'm afraid, the brushable version does have a different viscosity and structure which makes it ideal for brush application but not spraying. The Sprayable version has better covering power and higher resin content hence the price difference.

Thanks for your question, the One Coat Fencelife is only suitable for use on rough sawn timber, whilst safe once dry it doesn't protect smooth timber which I assume the climbing frame will be manufactured from.

Answer:
I do use it on smooth planed wood eg some sheds and bespoke fences, However I would not use this product on an area of planed wood which subject to regular contact . It works best on rough wood.

Answer:
The COSHH data sheet is shown on the Screwfix website. Briefly, it contains no hazardous ingredients. That's no surprise as the stuff is absolutely useless at protecting wood against insects, fungi or water. I suggest that a coat of your child's poster paint would be just as effective, and more fun for them to apply.
