Rated 5 out of 5Â by twickenhammark great product, use with care
Used to fill some rotten window frames before decorating. Be sure to use the wet rot wood hardener beforehand if necessary; this gives a solid substrate for the filler. The filler goes off very quickly in warm weather, much quicker than the 30 mins quoted, so only make up a small amount, and fill in stages. It sets rock solid, and is easily sanded smooth. Takes paint well, and once painted is indistinguishable from the wood.

Have used this filler for a couple of years now and I am impressed with the speed it hardens and how soon I can sand or drill it. Just don't mix to much unless you are filling a big hole because of the speed at which it goes off.

Does exactly what it says on the tin... High performance. Dries very quickly cutting down the wait time for other fillers. Sands to a very smooth finish, lasts years and paints well.

This stuff cures so fast you only really get one spread before it starts crumbling and picking back up with the spatula.
I've used "Dry Flex" which is unfortunately prohibitively expensive but works brilliantly first time. This ronseal stuff is terrible to work and just about impossible to get a smooth finish without sanding, assuming you can get it into the repair within the 30 or so seconds before it becomes unmanageable.
I'd probably avoid buing this in future and look for an alternative epoxy filler. I've heard Timbabuild is similar to "Repair Care's" "Dry flex" for instance and is still more than 4x the price of this but it depends how much time you want to spend working with this.
I will say however, that as it's cheaper it makes a great bulk filler, just no good for the finish.
