Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Replacements Just fitted two of these to replace some old filament type lights. Was a bit sceptical about the 3watt output but once fitted very impressed with the level of light output much better than the lights they replaced. Being able to link them together with the supplied wire is also a bonus. Have just ordered three more from the South Shields branch to replace the remaining lights. Would recommend this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Neat and easy to fit. Bought this to replace an old 30w unit in a display cabinet. No problems, but can't comment on reliability yet. Screwfix rates this unit at 210 lumens, but instructions in the pack say 340 lumens. Difficult to say what's right without measuring, but it's about right for a small cabinet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple lighting Compact and easy to fix, great light from such a small unit, only had it for two days so can't comment on reliability but being LED I don't envisage any problems.

These lights come in different lengths, any experience of what lengths are most suitable for a cabinet run? For example a 3 metre cabinet run, would three 815mm be too bright and three 615mm be more suitable?
Thanks. N.

The row of LEDs is integral – you cannot fit a bulb or replace the LEDs. The LEDs have a 30,000 hour rated lifetime.

Hi,

I see the linking cables are 600mm - I wish to have these either side of a 900mm cooker hood. Can I connect 2 600mm linking cables together, or get a longer connecting cable?

Thanks in advance,

Steve

Answer:
You could certainly link the two 600mm connecting cables together, no problem. They plug into each other. There's no mention on the packing about longer connecting cables being available, but connecting the two in series will work fine. Alternatively, wire them both direct to the mains – the supplied mains cable is 1.85m long.
