Mix the paste strong, pate paper and leave to soak for at least 10 min. Paste the wall then hang the paper. If you follow these steps you will get a good finish. If you don't you will have all sorts of problems. There are 2 sides, one for over papering and one for paint so make sure you hang it the right way round for your needs.

Soaked up paste, problematic
I bought this paper partly because of the excellent reviews.
Unfortunately, I didn't have a good experience and am unhappy with the result to the extent that I am thinking of stripping at least part of the walls and repapering.
The problem I had was that the paper soaked up the paste and just went dry. The result was quite a lot of bubbling and edges not stuck down. I tried adding paste to the edges which seemed to work but then when I painted the paper then rose again. Halfway through I tried a different paste but that made no difference.
I am no expert but have papered many a room over 40 years and have never ended up with such a poor result. A few months ago I used a competitor's equivalent paper without any major issues so I don't think it was anything that I did wrong.
