Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bit rubbish For me these have two issues. Firstly the head is really tiny which meant washers were required. I have some other toggles of the same size with a bigger head. I appreciate the size might be helpful sometimes but for me the heads are generally too small. Secondly over half of the packet had been badly tapped, with the screw threads only engaging with some force, which was fiddly due to their tiny size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very firm fix Great for fixing into plasterboard. Remember to add the length of the toggle to the combined thickness of the plasterboard wall and the item to be fixed to the wall, to ensure that you can push the fixing through and enable the wings to spring out. I needed this length to go through a tiled plasterboard wall to fix some grab handles for an elderly person and they are strong enough to hold someone at least twice her weight!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from lightweight paster/bd toggles I was fixing a safety rail for my shower and the screw heads were to small, I think I may have made an incorrect purchase and made do with washers. The heads are so small I do not know what I would use them for so beware, Buy a more robust product for heavy loads.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid fixings Bought these for shelving unit as the dry wall plastic plugs didn't work. These seem solid and hold the unit firmly

Would i be able to use this toggle to anchor a home safe to floorboards

Asked by: GITTS
Hi, this method of fixing would work, screwing directly into the floorboards would provide a more secure fixing however.

Would these take the weight of a shower screen to be fixed to a stud wall ?

Asked by: MisterMRG
Hi, each fixing can safely support 16kg into a stud wall. As such the weight of your shower screen should be able to be safely supported by this fixing.

I have to fix vertical radiator to a cavity plasterboard and tile wall. The rad is 56 kilos and masonry fixing have been included. I was thinking Spring toggle for 6 fixing points. Would 5 x 50 mm toggles support weight.

Plas board and tile is approx 25 to 28 mm thick
Asked by: Karen12
Hi, each fixing can safety support 18kg, assuming the plasterboard and tile wall can also take this load. M5 x 80mm long may be required for your thickness as the wing length on these is 25mm and this must be subtracted from the length of the screw to allow it to get through board.
