The thread on the screw is very poor quality and 4 out of 5 of these anchors will damage the thread when attempting to tighten them with a screwdriver.
I had bought previously the same type of fixing from well known furniture store and it worked without any problems so here it is clearly problem with the quality of the material or design.
Would definitely not recommend. N.B. returning it at local ScrewFix was NOT as straightforward as I would imagine!

These anchors are the only certain way to secure items to a plasterboard wall. Essential for things like curtain poles, towel rails which always get pulled and work loose with normal plugs.
Definitely recommend use of the setting tool.
My only complaint is that the odd one has a poor thread which can pull out when setting or strip when tightening. I didn't have this problem on the first ones I bought. I think the quality is not quite what it was.

Good value compared to other brands. Never had one fail. I use the special puller to compress the fixing against the surface, It works better than trying to simply tighten the screw. Works in ply, plastics and plasterboard.

These are amazing, I have never known anything to fix something so secure and steady to plasterboard. The only downside is that on some walls, instead of spreading and securing itself, it will actually thread the machine screw and it will just spin in the hole. I had some from another brand that feel less well made and a bit flimsy but they don't have this issue. Apart from that they are great.
