Rated 5 out of 5 by OFTEC approved great price Great stuff much cheaper than the copper alternative. With the 25 year guarantee I don't think you can go wrong with this stuff. Just remember to buy the copper inserts! 27 Jul 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Qual pipe Good easy to manage pipe - much better than old type for underground purposes, and much cheaper! 24 Jun 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Qual-oil pipe Excellent product, easy to use and does its job. However, I had to arrange it to be delivered to local store. This was not a problem as it was next day, but I only needed 10m and had to buy 50m. If this is stored centrally could it be supplied in shorter lengths to order - say multiples of 5m or 10m? 3 Jan 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Quick fix Makes it very easy and speedy to run oil pipe from tank to where pipe enters building in one run. 7 Mar 2012

Qual-Oil Pipe 10mm

Presumably ok for short runs above ground through conduit? Also what about contact with concrete?

Answer:
No, Qual-Oil pipe is approved for below ground use only, even with conduit. Concrete will have no adverse direct effect on Qual-Oil pipe, but better to bury in conduit to allow for expansion / contraction, and importantly allow for 1% expansion / contraction on length, using expansion loops if necessary“.

Answer:
Hi Stressedengineer,
Thank you for your query.
You are correct. Qual-Oil pipe is only for use below ground. This is due too fire regulation. I understand that this is a slight contradiction as most Oil tanks are manufactured in plastic.
If it is our green oil line I would suggest you use a correct size brass compression connector with a copper insert for the green oil line and use a small cutting of copper pipe to connect to your oil tank and fire valve.
I hope this answers your query.
If you require further information, please don't hesitate to contact me.
