What more can you ask of it
A decent weight to the item, the nylon line is not that harsh stiff stuff you get with cheap versions. Easy enough to thread line in to the cap and screw back on. Yes it spins a bit but I am assuming that is because it is new and I haven't fully unwound the line. I would have scored it higher on 'features' and 'performance' if the cord had something to wind around to keep it tidy rather than the birds nest I have, but that could just be me.

Much cheaper than a laser
I used this well made bob to strike out chalk lines to dot and dab plasterboard perfecttly vertical and level. Not easy to do single handed but luckily I had also previously bought a plasterboard prop from Screwfix and the two products together mean you can do the job on your own. The plasterboard went up as near perfect as you could wish and at far less cost than buying a laser. Plus I am not too sure you could get the laser kit as close to the wall as this bob - you'd have to ask someone who has used both products. All I do know for certain is that you can buy the prop and the bob for a tiny fraction of the price of a laser and you don't need to fork out for batteries! Old tech but solid and super reliable. Oh, and the string is not that difficult to thread, Just cut the string cleanly with a sharp scissors, wet iit, and twiist it into the hole in the bob.
