Perko Concealed Door Closer Polished Chrome ° mm
Tricky to fit, but works well
The first thing you'll need to know is that you require a 25mm drill bit that is capable of drilling a hole 146mm deep.
None of my spade bits were long enough, so I bought a 300mm long one, code 11138, which worked fine.
The next thing to know is that the spring really is extremely powerful, which is to be expected as it needs to pull the door closed with very little leverage. That does make fitting this door closer quite difficult on your own. You have to pull to the chain out and slip a slotted piece of metal onto the chain to allow the end plate to be screwed in, but this really is a three hand job. I ended up screwing the end plate into the door, then pulling the chain out by tugging on the main body of the door closer, whilst using my other hand to fit the piece of metal over the chain. I then unscrewed the end plate from the door and proceeded as per the instructions.
