Needed these for use with coach screws to repair a garden shed and spread the load to prevent the head of the bolt biting too deeply into soft wood. This they did and, being stainless, they should outlast the shed!

I needed these to repair a caravan gas locker door. I needed penny washers to spread the load. Fortunately the washers are thick enough to remain flat so helping to spread the load. And as this area is prone to condensation, stainless was the only option.
Good value and local stock. Very good.

Penny washers are just what they say on the tin. However they are not a penny. More like eleven penny washers or if you like old money an astonishing twenty six and a half penny washer (half a crown each).
Inflation rules â my summer 2016 catalogue says £1.08 per pack , £0.97 if you buy 5 or more. The instore catalogue I recall had something different ( I may be wrong ) and the web site, and my bill yesterday ( collection No 722 at Folkestone), reads £1.16 each for 5 â thatâs a MASSIVE 16.4% increase.
The actual financial difference is minor but it makes you wonder about other prices â¦â¦â¦ eyes wide open!
