will this gun take 900ml cartridge, with 70mm diameter ????

Asked by: yana
Hello, I'm afraid it won't take that size cartridge. The cartridge you are describing sounds to me like the '1 Litre Long' cartridge, which is a slightly rarer beast. There is also an imaginatively named '1 Litre Short' cartridge, which predictably, is shorter with a wider diameter. This Heavy Duty Applicator Gun is actually for use with two component cartridges known as co-axial cartridges. These have a cylinder for the B-part hardener inside the main cylinder for the A-part adhesive and are typically used to package chemical anchoring adhesives / resins. The 380ml volume refers to the volume of A-part material. They are usually in a 10:1 ratio of A-part to B-part, so the total volume tends to be 420ml. Because one cylinder runs along the centre line of the other, hence co-axial, the dispenser needs two plungers to push the material out. The two parts mix in a static mixing nozzle. This generates quite a lot of resistance, so it is important for the gun to be strong and for it to generate good power.

Will this gun take a standard 310ml sealant tube?

Asked by: Jim66
Hello, no I'm afraid this one will only work with the two component co-axial cartridges that are commonly used for resins and chemical anchoring materials. These cartridges are fatter and have two cylinders, one packaged inside the other. The dispenser therefore needs to have two separate plungers to push the two materials out at the same time. As the cartridge is short and fat, you wind up needing a large, donut shaped outer plunger to push the A-part and a small inner plunger to push the B-part. This means that you can't also fit the same plungers inside the much smaller diameter 310ml single component cartridge.
