Hello, I'm afraid it won't take that size cartridge. The cartridge you are describing sounds to me like the '1 Litre Long' cartridge, which is a slightly rarer beast. There is also an imaginatively named '1 Litre Short' cartridge, which predictably, is shorter with a wider diameter.
This Heavy Duty Applicator Gun is actually for use with two component cartridges known as co-axial cartridges. These have a cylinder for the B-part hardener inside the main cylinder for the A-part adhesive and are typically used to package chemical anchoring adhesives / resins.
The 380ml volume refers to the volume of A-part material. They are usually in a 10:1 ratio of A-part to B-part, so the total volume tends to be 420ml. Because one cylinder runs along the centre line of the other, hence co-axial, the dispenser needs two plungers to push the material out.
The two parts mix in a static mixing nozzle. This generates quite a lot of resistance, so it is important for the gun to be strong and for it to generate good power.
