Osram TC-DEL Compact Fluorescent Lamp G24Q 4-Pin 900Lm 13W
This problem of replacement bulbs not matching the others in use is a continual problem.
I am looking for a 3500k replacement of this type and of course there is no choice - Screwfix choose to sell only 4000k which will appear brighter.
Osram Sylvania do this bulb in many different colour temperatures. Shame retailers don't stock the same.
Look on the failed bulbs for another number starting with 8xx. Example 13W/835 which is 13 watt and 3500k temperature. This screwfix stocked lamp (4000k) should be marked 840.

Works fine but..
Lights up ok, but seems very bright. Meant to be 71w equivalent, but appears much brighter.

Osram bulb too cool
The bulb I bought was a replacement energy saving bulb for one fitted to my landing. On fitting the replacement it was very obvious the colour temp of the new bulb was very different to the one fitted. The replacement bulb appeared brighter as a result of the cooler light. As i have 4 other bulbs fitted of the same temperature to the original bulb it is quite noticeable and therefore worth making a note of replacement bulb temperatures prior to purchase. I need to buy another bulb now with the correct colour temp so that it doesn't stand out and appear so different from the existing ones. The bulb worked ok but colour not as expected..... No other bulbs of this type were available from Screwfix therefore not possible to change it for a better match....

Not the lamp in the picture
From experience Osram TC lamps give better lumens from start up compared to other brands - important when lamps are not used continuously.
I was pleased to find screwfix showing exactly the lamp I needed to match some existing lamps in compact fittings, but when delivered the 13w lamp wasn't as shown in the photo, it was a non-compact 4 element lamp (I assume the bigger lamps are 6 element).
Initially store staff didn't see that this was a problem, but did exchange the lamp. Frustrating but it could have been worse.
