I needed a very rough disc for the sanding wheel on my desk mounted belt sander but could not find any, the ones I bought were 120 grit and only lasted a couple of runs before the paper was simply burning the wood and leaving it too smooth to glue. I bought a roll of this and some double sided tape and made my own. This now squares up the ends of my oak slats and leaves them rough enough to glue, the one disc has been fitted know for a week, used daily and shows no sign of wear, great.

Used in old orbital sander for sanding walls after wallpaper striping and filling (lots of filling). Did whole room in just two cuts off the roll. Didn't clog and good tough backing. Will use again.

I was sanding down a used wooden compost bin system, 10 posts and 66 boards. All were dirty and I wanted to clean them up a bit, partly so that I can see exactly what state they are in but principally to expose the wood so I can apply a wood preservative before using it.
I bought an aluminium hand sander (240x84mm) and some of this and the job went really well. I had already done maybe a third of the work before buying this and I did the rest using just two strips of this, so a bit more than half a metre and there is still plenty of life left in the second strip. And the first strip did not wear out but tore on staples and screw tips that sanding away the muck revealed.
The only niggle is that it is much wider than the hand sander I have or any 1/3 sheet sander.

Others clog and fail. This paper fails to clog! It lasts as long as the job.
