I find the other reviews for this product baffling because this is a really dreadful product.
With the vacuum set to its maximum level it fastens itself to the wall like a limpet and it becomes virtually immovable. If the vacuum is reduced with the finger tip control until it can be moved then it does extract about 20% of the plaster dust but most just falls on the floor. In any case there is still so much grip on the wall that it gouges rather than sands and the scratches left, even with the finest paper, look awful after painting.
Vacuum extract devices like this only work if there is a continuous through flow or cross flow of air. Some sort of extract slot around the edge would have made all the difference and would have made this more physically controllable and the dust extraction more effective. As it is it is complete junk at any price.
You have been warned!

I bought this kit to replace the Mirka Abranet kit I had previously bought from Scewfix. For some reason they changed to this Norton kit. I have to say the suction on this kit once hooked to the hoover is better than the Mirka. You have an air value on the end of the hose to adjust the suction and the hose itself is plenty long enough for most situations. For dustless sanding flat surfaces inside this kit is perfect. The sheets last resonably well as the suction stops clogging. Extra sheets come in 4 grades. Excellant bit of kit

Easy to set up. Easy to adjust airflow through device. No dust settling long after you've sanded. The hose is long enough to allow you to sand the ceiling without lifting or carrying the vacuum. When they do a detail sander like this I will buy.
