Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice product but off white Saves hassle thinning down contract emulsion. Only negative, it is not brilliant white and so will need a top coat to achieve this. The top coat should be non vinyl to continue the porous nature of the paint. Many on here are going straight over with vinyl paint which negates some of the purpose of this paint.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't read the bad reviews Despite the couple of bad reviews I went ahead and bought this under recommendation of the plasterer I just had in. The negative reviews are completely wrong. This product works amazingly, one coat looked OK and two coats gave it a perfectly white look as if there was no more need for any actual paint. Will be applying the brilliant white ceiling paint later today to finish the job off. The bucket stretches quite far too! Would definitely purchase again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best paint ever I bought the plaster paint as I have had trouble with paint on new plaster this is the best product on the market hence I have bought 5 tubs safes time and money

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product This paint is excellent, no more need to buy standard emulsion and mess around watering down, just paint straight on. Reasonably thick so after one coat wall looks good, 2 coats as recommended it looks great. Doesn't splatter and gives good finish ready to paint top coat of choice on. First coat tends to get soaked up quickly by plaster so I'd overestimate on quantity needed vs what says on tub.

I have been told that I need to prime new coving that has been fitted, it's Gyproc with a paper coating, can I use this bare plaster paint to seal the coving ?

Asked by: Andy391965
Hello Andy391965, This is just a primer, this will not unfortunately seal up the coving. Thank you for using Q&A

I have noticed an unpleasant odour with the use of this paint, even after overpainting with convential paint smell still persists months later. Has anyone else experienced this, can you reccomend a solution.

I was going to try overpainting with extra coats of conventional emulsion paint.

Painting over

Have newly skimmed walls. Planning to use crown kitchen paint. How many coats would be recommended of this before the crown paint. Thanks.
Asked by: DandJDIY
Hello DanJDIY, We do not specifically have recommended number of coats which would need to be used, however usually a minimum of two coats would usually be sufficient. Thank you for using Q&A. (LM).
