Rated 5 out of 5 by Beats using vinyl paints! First time I've used anything other than slightly watered down vinyl paint on bare plaster to seal it. And it's the last time I'll use vinyl paint for this job.....as this goes on firmly but easily, dries in a heartbeat, looks brill almost straight away. Easy to avoid drips too. White is actually brilliant white too. 26 Apr 2016

Rated 5 out of 5 by good stuff This is a very good base cover for new or bare plaster of even ares where repair or filler has been applied before applying the final paint. AND such great value 13 Apr 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Spot on ! First time I have used this paint and used it on plaster that had been drying for 6 days (in a spring with average sort of Temps). Gave my kitchen ceiling one coat and wasn't sure whether it was absolutely covered without any slightly 'darker patches', (could have been my imagination), so gave it another coat to be on the safe side and it definitely covered completely. Then painted my bathroom ceiling. This time, after the first coat, I let it dry for a couple of days - result !, didn't need a second coat and really cannot see any darker areas, looks pretty darned perfect to me. So one coat was 'Spot on'. Don't mess around with diluting your emulsion, just buy this stuff ! 8 Apr 2016

Hi Peter77,

There is no reason why this couldn't be used on plasterboard.

Thank you for using Q and A.

We have a very large new extension that is freshly plastered. Can we apply this paint directly to the new plaster without watering down? Thanks
