Rated 1 out of 5 by from Avoid. The No Nonsense brand stuff is usually pretty good, but this undercoat is awful. It's a watery mess that wont stay in a minor blemish and burrs if you try and brush out the blemishes it creates as it settles. A pot of matt emulsion would do a better job than this - avoid at all costs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent quality Decent undercoat at a very reasonable price. No Nonsense always give good quality at a very competitive price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No nonsense Two coats on MDF and has worked brilliantly. Didn't cause any of that furring you can sometimes get with water based paints. Even on edges that were not sanded smooth it does the job and seals.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Primer Does exactly what it says it does. For the money you pay for, it is an excellent product.

Hello johannes, This No Nonsense Acrylic Primer is intended for use on bare woods. We would not be able to recommend it's use on melamine. Thanks for using Q&A, KC

Can I use this primer on MDF?

I built a unit in my bathroom using Mdf, bearing in mind that it's a humid room, will this primer be good enough for the job?

Can I use this on previously solvent based glossed paint

Asked by: Spags
You will first need to remove the old gloss paint and then paint the primer on.
