Rated 5 out of 5 by Bargain! This is less than half the price of the big shed stores and it's perfect. Two coats is more than enough!!! 20 May 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Dark very dark Bought this left it with the lads to crack on with and I'm absolutely gutted to the pit of my stomach about the colour the tin says oak the colour band around the tin is a nice tan colour it looks like dirty engine oil been poured over it now should say on the tin dark oak it's like telephone pole colour / creosote / wood beams in an old pub. Apart from that it looks like oil twice the price so aside from the colour it looks ok 19 May 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Value Used this on previously treated and weathered decking. Its important to prep things well to achieve the best finish as with all things like this. The oak finish is quite dark but again ideal to cover previous finishes. Applies easily with a brush, I left 24 hours between coats and I used half a can on a 5m x 3m deck. Very pleased with the result let's hope it keeps its finish longer than other more expensive products I have used on the past but at this price and coverage its a bargain. 16 May 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Cautious about the colour I buy regularly from Screwfix and in the main very happy with their products, however, this product (like the others in the range) don't come with an example of the colour. I had to purchase this to try out the colour and found it very dark brown, not like what i expected and now i am stuck with it at considerable cost. Beware, the Oak is very dark. Can't believe Screwfix won't put a small picture on the product or the web site to demonstrate its expected colour! 16 May 2016

Hello Stargate. The Timber Decking Oil can only be applied by brush or roller, not by spraying.

Can Decking Sealer be applied on top on a Decking Oil in a Colour? For example Oak Decking Oil, also then at a later date can the Decking Oil be applied on top on Decking Sealer, when recoating for weather protection?

Answer:
Applying the decking oil first will add a level of water repellence to the decking meaning that when you try and apply the sealer it will 'roll off' of the decking oil. However given a long period of time you will be able to apply the sealer.

Answer:
It is a very dark oak, I too wanted more of a lighter oak finish so I diluted the dark oak down with the clear finish (50/50) and managed to get a colour match nearer to what I wanted.
