The problem with poly dust sheets is that they rip really easily; the problem with cotton dust sheets is that if you spill a blob of paint, it will go through (unless you spend a bunch of money and buy a really thick one). These sheets combine the best of both worlds - poly that stops even big blobs of paint going through, and cotton to stop the poly ripping.
I bought two on a bit of a whim, but they really do work, I'd buy more of the same if I needed to.
The only problem if that they probably won't be that durable, as in one corner the poly and cotton are coming away from each other, but certainly for DIY they're going to be fine and last long enough. Given the price, I'm very pleased.

As a less than perfect painter doing my own painting this product looks great . I am not doing my painting as a job but for myself . No matter what I use I manage to get paint on something . The 12x9 version of this has great reviews from painters and plasterers so went with a bigger version and bought 3 . That means I can cover everything including chairs , tables and sofas plus the floor of course . I admit not used yet but it looks good and is highly rated by professionals on Screwfix site .

Strong enough for painting decorating.
I first bought this item 2 years ago and this is how long it will last depending on how busy you are in your trade. The poly backing will tear away after all.
