Nilfisk Aero 26-21 PC 1250W 15.3/14.5Ltr Wet & Dry Vacuum Cleaner 240V
So much better than...
My previous wet & dry vacuum was frustrating to use in that - as you used the nozzle left and right - so the movement released the pipe connection from the machine. The lack of filter bags meant having to stop, release the hose, release the top and motor part from the body before brushing the mess from the cartridge filter. This Nilfisk cleaner provides a longer hose, sits solid on the ground, has large filter bags for the rubbish, and quick release catches to separate top from body. A quality product so now the other brand will go to the recycling centre. The Reliability Rating should include a "Too soon to rate" category as I've only used it the once., hence middle rating of 3 *'s !!

Just picked this up today after my cheap vacume cleaner packed up after 7 years. As I'm still in a middle of a house renovation I wanted a vacume purely for hovering up all sorts of dirt and dust after workmen and general DIY jobs. This may be over kill for what I need but after using it tonight it's GREAT. I've given a hoover to all of downstairs and the stairs in a fraction of the time in normally takes. After a few mins assemberly i was away. The extra long hose is great. Can leave the hoover body in the hall and the hose reaches all the way to the top of the stairs (just the hose) great. The pole and floor attachment is great. Simple design but works great and floors look clean (for a building site). Great suction, all the dirt between the floorboards was sucked up with ease.
Only downside is its a little heavy, and as it has two fixed wheels and two free it's a little tricky to manoeuvre if your not stood next to it to man handle. its a little bulky when wound up and packed away but I can live with the bad as its so good in all the other areas.
Not sure on reliability as only had it a few hours and not used all the features but can change review if I need to after a few more uses of heavier dust/dirt/plaster etc. But I have a nilfish pressure washer and that's also great and is working well all the time I've had it.
It's expensive but if I does the job and if it's reliable then money well spent. Does only come with one bag and they appear not to be reusable so may have to order some of those.

Very, very good peice of kit
This was an upgrade from a Titan wet/dry hoover. Yes this was a lot more money but it is a world of difference in build quality and performance. All the attachments are very sturdy and the hose is of such a quality that it does not kink like other cheaper hoses. The pick up from the wet/dry floor nozzle is excellent, it seems to create a good seal against the floor (carpet or hard). The power take off can cope with up to 1900w which can handle my mitre saw. It is quiet too and light. I'm really very pleased with it.
I've scored only 4 for reliability as I've not had it long enough to give it 5.

It's very blue!
It's quite big.
It's very quiet (compared to others).
It sucks hard, and blows fairly hard.
It seems well made.
The tools supplied seem robust.
The hose is very long (useful for sanding ceilings).
My last Nilfisk lasted for 6 years despite everything I threw at it .... the old hose and tools even fit the new one too .... so have spares!
Looking good for the future.
