Multi-Monti T-Star Countersunk Head Bolts 6 x 80mm Pack of 50
These bolts do exactly what they say. they are 6mm diameter and you drill a 5mm hole in solid brick then just screw them in. They go in easier than screwing into wood. No need for a Raw Plug just straight into the brick and because they don't expand, the brick doesn't crack. One thing i would say if you are drilling into old coke blocks, only drill a 4mm hole and don't have a full torque on when driving them in as they may spin when you get them all the way in. I used chemical fix with them as well.

The bee's knees
These are absolutely brilliant for fixing timber window and door frames into masonry. No more messing about with plugs. Drill a 6mm csk hole in the timber, drill through this hole with 5mm masonry bit, screw in, and job done! Really firm fixing.
I wish Screwfix would do a variety pack with different lengths of the 6mm diameter size, for a complete fixing kit.

Excellent alternative to screw
We've used boxes of these in various sizes on our project from fixing strapping and brackets to walls to supporting beams for a new floor.
Ony hiccup is the smaller ones will jam and snap if the hole is not properly cleared of debris.
Other than that a simple and reliable fixing.

These multimontis are great, but the review above
incorrectly mentions using a 6mm drill -
you should use a 5mm drill with these 6x80
multimontis or else they will pull out.
(And they take a T30 torx bit.)
