Quick and easy to use. Brilliant for quick and easy fixings. Sometimes need to spin them out a couple of times. But work brilliant in combination with an impact driver. 27 May 2015
easy screw, no plug needed used the 180mm to screw 100mm fence posts to thick block wall. We are talking solid blocks here that needed the pilot hole to the correct depth, when done right, it was an easy screw all the way in. I tested on a breeze block and it screwed straight in without a pilot hole. On the solid block, no chance, where the pilot hole was not quite deep enough the blot head snapped off. no way to get these out easily, so use the right drill to the right depth. The head is a bit small and could do with being bigger or have a washer added. The torque needed for 180mm was too much for my DIY cordless drill, had to use electric drill, even then you could fry an egg on it after a few dozen screws. Also had to use the lower torque setting to reverse the screw out when needed. Star bit included in pack ;-D 27 May 2015
super fast fixing I used these to attach timber to brick and they worked really well. Super fast because you can drill blind holes and put the fixing straight in. Note some of these need some odd drill sizes. I didn't notice a 6.5mm masonry bit was spec'd, so I ended up grinding down an old 7mm SDS to size. 26 May 2015
A doddle These are great fixings, I found them more reliable than hammer fixings into concrete and brick and equally fast... as long as you drill the right size hole! If you stick to a 6mm bit you should be fine, better to be a bit smaller as you can resolve that. If you go too big you are stuffed! I used them for fixing sole plates down on a small timber frame, hanging a wall plate and fitting battens to a brick wall. The are much easier to remove and adjust than the other options and I will have a stash of thes from now on. Note however that they are not great in lightweight block and you should use a smaller pilot. 26 May 2015
