Used it today to check shower pipe work before boarding over, 3 bar for 15 mins. i added a small piece of pipe then a flexi, another piece of pipe, speedfit straight coupler. I used a bicycle pump no problem.
obviously don't know about the reliability, but looks rugged enough

At first I thought I must have a leak on my pipework as the pressure dropped significantly from 2 bar over the space of around half an hour.
Connected it to a 3m length of pipe and had the same problem, so it seems that this one is faulty.
Hence the low rating for performance and reliability.

Just used this item to test new pipework serving 2x bathrooms, heating system & hot water cylinder. Floor tiling has now started in all rooms but system will not be filled with water for at least a week yet! Imagine the potential damage caused by a leaky joint at that stage!!
Need to use at least a foot pump, I used a compressor with ease.
As a previous reviewer wrote, if you intend to use on a regular basis...insert a short piece of 15mm with a standard push-fit fitting on the end. That way you will wear out the seal in the added fitting & not the tester itself!

Very useful bit of kit for testing pipework before turning the water on. To avoid any problems with the pushfit on it, and to make it easier to use, I fitted a small length of copper pipe into this, then a flexi-pipe, another section of copper, then a pushfit coupler. That way the connector that's being taken on and off pipework each time you use it can be replaced for pennies.
