Rated 5 out of 5Â by TimC Fixing bolts are fine
Hi, Just a comeback to the previous review, where the person said you need a grinder to cut the fixing bolts, this is not correct, I have fitted loads of these around the hospital and all you do is select which notch you need to cut back to and with pliers, snap it at that point, you may need two pairs to hold it, but I just hold it in a gloved hand.
This is a great product for the price.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by rockbird Very poor documentaion
The documentation with this product leaves much to be desired:
1) The instructions for changing the code are on the back of the template which is intended for cutting out, taping to the door and drilling through. You have to photocopy one or the other otherwise the vital information for changing the code will have been destroyed during fitting.
2) The template gives two options: for a 60mm latch (in the kit) and a 70mm latch. the 70mm latch does not appear to be available neither on Screwfix or the manufacturer's website. Extreme care has to be taken to fit the template according to the supplied item and drill the holes in the door accordingly. Why do they even mention the 70mm latch thereby causing confusion??
3) The instructions for changing the code do not make it clear that the rules for inserting the Red and Blue tumblers reverse between the two columns of buttons. The images shown are for buttons 6->C but you have to mirror-image them for buttons 1-Y. There is a end view which only suggest this in a very obscure way.
I must admit that this was the first time that I had fitted one of these. I can see from other reviews that some have fitted lots of them but I would ask how difficult was the first time?
I strongly recommend that the manufacturer re-examines the quality of their documentation of this product.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by peter8269 good product - bad fixing bolt
I have just fitted this push button lock and the quality seems good but I had a major problem - the fixing bolts are stainless steel and a hacksaw just won't touch them. The only way to cut them to length is with a grinder which I don't happen to carry around with me.

Needed this lock as we have a private area and doors were not locked... now we can rest assured that the room is safe!
