Rated 2 out of 5 by Cheap and cheerful This is an extremely compact item (ok, it's small!) - so far used it a couple of times and it worked well. Programme switches are quite fiddly to use and you need VERY good eyesight to read the dial Overall for the price a good item 21 Sep 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great little product Great Value Product I recently purchased 3 x Masterplug MASTERPLUG PLUG-IN MECHANICAL DAILY 24 HOUR TIMER 240V (25518). scaffolding up on my building and this gadget gives me peace of mind as I set my lamps to go on and off at different times of day and night. highly recommend, simple to set and such good value. Service excellent - ordered Sunday delivered Monday. 12 Sep 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great timer switch Great timer switch. Simple to install and easy to use. low power consumption as well. 11 Aug 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by fail x2 I bought two of these and one of them failed after 24 hours. It started the appliance at the correct time but didn't turn it off. I took it back for a replacement and it did the same thing. On timer it would not switch off at all. I took both of them back and replaced them with a different make. The switch mechanism on these is very flimsy. I could hear the mechanism click at the time settings, but it would not turn off the mains supply. 17 May 2016

Answer:
Hi, thank you for your product enquiry.
There is a moulded arrow in the centre of the dial, pointing towards the upper right corner of the timer, which indicated where the current time should be.
Current time can be adjusted by rotating the dial of times plus the outer dial of associated segments in a clockwise direction until the time you require is next to the arrow tip.
Each segment represents a 15 minute block of time at a certain point during the day, as denoted by its position around the time dial, pushing a segment in towards the back of the timer makes this an ON period for the output socket while any segment which is not pushed in gives and OFF state during its time.
For periods longer than 15 you can push in multiple adjacent segments to make up the length of time which you require.

Hi, thank you for your product enquiry.
This timer will repeat the same setting every day that it is plugged in to a powered socket, so yes you could set a 6pm on time for however long you wish to (in multiples of 15 minutes).

I need to be able to have a light that I will plug into the timer to turn on, then off again every 2 minutes. Will this product be able to do this?

Hi, thank you for your product enquiry.
The minimum time period for this timer is 15 minutes (or multiples thereof), so you will NOT be able to set it to switch every 2 minutes unfortunately.

Hi, thank you for your product enquiry.
This base wattage for this timer alone, with no device connected to it, is 1.04W.
This translates to a chargeable consumption of 0.00104 kW/h.

Answer:
Hi, thank you for your product enquiry.
This timer is rated for a load of 13A resistive or 2A inductive.
13A is equivalent to just over 3kW while 2A is equivalent to 480W, so it depends on the load your immersion heater would put onto the timer as to whether it is suitable or not.
As a general rule of thumb most UK domestic immersion heaters run at around 3kW, most are only a resistive load but a few are also inductive (so would not be suitable for use with this timer).
Unfortunately it is very uncommon for manufacturers to list the inductive load component of there products, so it will be difficult to be certain whether the immersion which you have in mind will be suitable for this timer or not.
