Manthorpe GL250 Insulated Drop-Down Loft Access Door White 686 x 856mm
Its a Loft hatch
A great value insulated loft hatch which took me half a day to fit in a turn of the century home with non standard joist gaps. Having built a wooden frame specifically for the hatch I realised that any twist I introduced with my frame would effect the way the hatch catches the frame. Now successfully fitted I would only question shape of the hooking point of the hatch

Easy to install
This was a drop-in replacement for an existing push-up trapdoor that was installed in my house which was built in 1999.
Most reviews of this product say it is good, but there are a few that said it is difficult to operate the catch. I did not have a problem doing this. There are stickers on the product that say that the screws should not be overtightened. I can see how the plastic would distort and make it difficult to operate the catch if you did overtighten the screws.
I removed the existing trapdoor and installed the new one in an hour and a quarter.
I like the fact that the trapdoor can be removed completely if needed. In summer, I tend to do this to help keep the house cool.
In summary, product is good and should last years.

Very light weight and easy to install.
Would be nice if it came with a pole attachment to fit into and "slide" the latch.
The expanded 50mm polyurethane foam will (like all such foams) flake and if the ladder is a close fit when closed, could easily damage it.
I replaced mine with tougher piece of 50mm celotex (left over from a job) - much better.
BUT for the price, simplicity of fitting and relatively good exterior cosmetic appearance: good value
