Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Extraction at a great pr Bought this to replace a similar unit from a different manufacturer, The extraction on this fab was superior to the original and it was easy to fit being a direct replacement. Overall very good value.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just remove the sticker! This fan was easy to install and works well. Just check there is no production sticker somewhere inside! After two weeks my fan seized. An hour scrambling in the loft and dismantling found a tiny self adhesive sticker which had stuck to the blade and the body of the fan. No idea where it came from. Once removed it was fine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent extractor fan Bought a while ago as I needed a flexible alternative to an in the wall one. This is priced really well, it's quiet and has all you need to install. A nicer internal vent would be nice at this price I'm more than happy

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value fan kit This was bought to replace a ceiling extraction fan in a bathroom which did not move much air. This new fan was able to extract much more air and avoid condensation on the mirror and window. I expected it to be quieter than the existing ceiling fan, but the fan noise seems to come back down the duct. I will re-mount it on a rubber spacer. This is a good kit at a reasonable price, and a good improvement on the existing ceiling fan.

Is this kit suitable to use, extracting down through a soffit

I would want he fan grill in the ceiling and then completing a 180 degree turn and exit down through the soffit as there is no outside wall to exit through?
Asked by: Migwell
I've just bought one of these, the manual uses soffit exit in the diagram. The only restriction is a minimum of 500mm of ducting from bathroom grill to the fan, and another 500mm min from fan to soffit.

What is the maximum length of ducting I can use, if it were rigid?

Asked by: olko
Hello, maximum length would be 3m on an inline axial fan.

does this have to connect to light switch

Can it be connected to its own pull cord switch or can it only be connected up to the light switch
Asked by: Guppy89
The Manrose In-line Shower Fan Kit can be connected to a dedicated pull-cord or switch. It does not have to be connected to the light switch/circuit.

There is no void above the concrete celing, can the fan part be fixed to the bathroom celing and boxed in?

Grill will be in the top wall of shower cubical with fan about 400mm away and ducted out the wall a further 200mm from the fan.
Asked by: Tooool
There should be no problem with boxing in the In-line Fan, it would be wise to install an Access Hatch for maintenance.
