Rated 5 out of 5 by I'm a fan easily installed. reasonably quiet. does the job. 9 Apr 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Replacement fan Brought this fan to replace existing 'in line extractor fan' simple connections, worked out the box, timer easy to adjust - recommend adjusting prior to connecting ducting (as obstructs) works fine, unable to rate on reliability (they send out email too soon to rate reliability) does what it says on the box 4 Apr 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Low vibration This unit has been purchased to replace an inline rubbish fan the builder fitted. The kit is cheaper than buying all the parts so its good value for this reason. I did some tests on this unit and noted the position the fan blades stop each time it was turned off. From these tests I can see, on the bench, the blades are balanced. The balance of the fan blades is important as out of balance blades make vibration. The fan this replaces vibrated so much from an out of balance blade set, that it sounded like a helicopter landing. This new fan does have a very small amount of vibration, so try not to screw it to a sounding board like the ceiling joists and plaster board. If possible mount on a roof joist/truss as this is stiffer and will not vibrate so easily. I have gone the extra distance and made a anti-vibration mount for this unit. Contact me for details, as it an easy DIY job and uses pipe insulation, broom handle and MDF and some screws all available from Screwfix. As only just fitted can not say how it is for length of life. 1 Mar 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Cheap but not so cheerful Firstly, mine only came with 2m of ducting rather than 3m as stated. It might not sound like much, but it makes a big difference when you're squashed up in a customer's loft fitting the flipping thing only to find the ducting is a metre shorter than you expected. Secondly, the bearings on these must be extremely cheap or non- existant; there was a fair bit of vibration which wasted a lot of fitting time trying to find a position that would minimise the resultant noise. Thirdly, the ducting is dreadful. About as strong as tissue paper and supposed to be held in place on the fan / vent by use of nothing more than a low quality cable tie. Notably, the fan and vents are smooth so the cable ties actually accomplish very little. All in all, it's standard Manrose quality - you get [slightly less than] what you pay for. 17 Feb 2016

Answer:
The kit includes everything you need to duct out to a gable end or soffit. To go through the roof you will need a roof outlet.

Answer:
Two different fans cannot be linked to the same ducting. However two fans can be used to extract from the same area provided they are individually ducted.
