Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value fan kit This was bought to replace a ceiling extraction fan in a bathroom which did not move much air. This new fan was able to extract much more air and avoid condensation on the mirror and window. I expected it to be quieter than the existing ceiling fan, but the fan noise seems to come back down the duct. I will re-mount it on a rubber spacer. This is a good kit at a reasonable price, and a good improvement on the existing ceiling fan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality and good value Like all the items I have purchased from Screw fix the fan kit was just what I expected a good quality piece of kit at a value for money price .And the quality of service at the scotswood road branch was 100% what more could you ask for .

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fan The extractor fan does exactly what you would expect, good value for money. Very happy with product. Worse thing was doing click and collect, ordered on line then still had to que at normal desk to collect.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from My review I am on my third inline fan of the year, the first was fitted in December and lasted 9 months, upon inspection it looked like one of the terminals had been over tightened so it broke the solder on the circuit board which separated with the heat expansion. The second didn't work so had to be replaced. The third went in yesterday. It's running. The fan itself is very easy to fit and wire in. The timer is relatively accurate. The fan is quiet and powerful enough to clear the bathroom of steam.

does this have to connect to light switch

Can it be connected to its own pull cord switch or can it only be connected up to the light switch
Asked by: Guppy89
The Manrose In-line Shower Fan Kit can be connected to a dedicated pull-cord or switch. It does not have to be connected to the light switch/circuit.

There is no void above the concrete celing, can the fan part be fixed to the bathroom celing and boxed in?

Grill will be in the top wall of shower cubical with fan about 400mm away and ducted out the wall a further 200mm from the fan.
Asked by: Tooool
There should be no problem with boxing in the In-line Fan, it would be wise to install an Access Hatch for maintenance.

Can this be installed hanging down from its bracket?

I want to install this between ceiling and floor but hanging from the joists for a safe secure and strong location. Need to confirm that it will be ok hanging from its bracket.
Asked by: Jawsbyte21
The In-line Axial Fan can be installed at any angle, the Fan will have its limits however. The maximum recommended ducting run is 3 meters Horizontally or 1.5m Vertically.

Does this fan operate if controlled by a dimmer switch?

Asked by: Sparkido
Hello, unfortunately it is not recommend the use of dimmer switches with the fans as the reduced voltage from the dimmer swtich can cause the fan to completely turn off.
