Makita TM3000C/2 240V Multi-Tool
Multi Tools in general.
The essential usefulness of these tools lies in their ability to plunge-cut directly in at right angles to the work - an ability no other tool offers.
Totally essential for cutting electrical back-boxes through in situ wooden skirting board prior to sinking into the brick wall behind.
The precision of the cut obtained, and the ability to stop cutting at the exact point of penetration between skirting board and wall saves damaging the blade teeth, like no other method can.
The tool is also brilliant at cutting holes in T&G floor boards, with no extraneous damage. The piece so removed can be later replaced having sustained no further damage. "Pumpkin" cutting such (at 45 deg) edges facilitates later replacement. Also, because of the controlled cut-depth there's less danger of severing cables, gas/water pipes etc laying in wait just beneath the floor.
All in all, a whole new concept in 'surgical' woodwork. Thoroughly recommended.

Makita Multi Tool
absolute fabulous tool, found that it speed up work, in areas of limited space, as angle can be set to cut out required area.
