Rated 3 out of 5 by from Okay but not great Quite a while ago I was putting together a second-hand office desk and one of the supports had pulled out of the chipboard. So I had a drill a hole through the support to put a new screw in. That was c. 1.5 mm thick and what I assume is just mild steel. My very old B&D bits were not making much headway, so I looked at the reviews and these seemed good. So I bought them and they did the job with no problem. Since then I have used them a few time and they have been okay, albeit one has snapped. However I have just tried to use them to drill through a Met-post (so I can put additional screws in) and they just could not cope. After 10 minutes, with breaks and liberal use of oil, I had not got through. I gave up and bought a DeWalt Extreme 2 bit. With that I finished off the first hole in seconds and did the second one in less than a minute.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not very good Pretty useless for metal work, three snapped bits despite being extremely gentle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good qualerty In a hurry last night to finish a job punched through stainless steel very quickly held up well even though running them twice as fast as I should have been. the drill bits also snap in and out of the holder easily not having to push them into a hole when they are bured from spinning in a worn chuck will be a bonus.
