Rated 4 out of 5 by Good drills Good set of drills impact driver brilliant and both drills compatible with all the bigger makita batteries. Would be five stars if drill had light. 9 Apr 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good deal There is not much to say about Makita power tools. This particular set is worth to get because of two battery, charger and havy duty case which is very handy and helps to keep tools tidy and clean. I've been using Makita since couple of years and can only say good things about it. Recomend as usual. 24 Mar 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Superb Drill and Driver This is by far the best drill I have ever bought. Previously I have had only other makes and never an impact driver. The impact driver performance is impressive and is kind to screw heads. Buying the Combo has saved me a lot of time in switching drills and drivers. The belt hook makes it easy to move around the job freeing up hands for other equipment. The drill is very robust andhas good balance, is light and has sharp operating performance and feel. Price was good and I am expecting many years of regular use from this combo. Case is practical and has room inside for Driver kit, Bit holders and other commonly used small tools. Overall a great buy. 16 Nov 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent heavy use tools These makita drills are simply excellent and well worth the extra money - we use these on a daily basis. 16 Nov 2015

Answer:
Yes, this machine will also accept the Makita 3.0Ah, 4.0Ah and 5Ah batteries. The charger will charge them, it will just take a little longer to get a full charge.
