Leyland Trade Satinwood Paint Brilliant White 2.5Ltr
a bit glossier than expected!
the paint was excellent to apply - good value- but a bit glossier than expected when dry - I was trying to match the emulsion silk type finish so in retrospect if you want that slightly less reflective sheen I guess you should use eggshell.-lightly sanding undercoat and wiping down with white spirit paid dividends before applying top coat - note it is not water based so you will need to clean brushes etc in turps/white spirit.

Does what it says on the tin!
Good coverage, reasonable opacity, may be self undercoating but not in the sense of having sufficient opacity.

Takes far to long to dry
First time I've used Layland trade satinwood & did so after reading the reviews praising it.
Although it did indeed flow nicely & was great value I was less impressed by its opacity & its drying time between coats. As a developer you need to be able to get the job done in a reasonable time frame & having to wait for upto 16 hours before you can apply another coat is just plain crazy. Any trade painter would expect to recoat within a few hours not the following day. All I can say is if you've got time on a job or if you are a DIYer that can wait then by all means use it. If however your working to a time frame then I'd stick with other manufactures paints with a quicker drying time.
