Rated 5 out of 5 by Quality Gloss Brilliant Coverage And Fast Drying. Great Finish With 2 Coats. 16 Jun 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Will probably continue using I have just switched to water based gloss from oil based now that oil based white gloss is guaranteed to go yellow as a result of the EU regulations on VOCs. I'd used up my stock of old gloss from the garage and had a bad experience with a new oil-based paint that yellowed within weeks. The best things about this paint are that it dries quickly and brushes are easily washed and re-used. Also, it is very, very white - and hopefully will stay that way. It's not fantastic at covering even previously white-painted surfaces and just doesn't flow and 'settle' like oil based gloss, but it lasts a long time and, due to its quick drying time, a second coat can be applied fairly soon afterwards. It's not as glossy as oil-based gloss either, but it's not bad: somewhere between a sheen and a gloss finish. I wish I could get non-yellowing oil based gloss but, in the absence of that, this will do fine. 14 Jun 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good all rounder This is not the best water based gloss/satin I have used but the best is no longer available so...this is a close second. The coverage is good. It is an incredibly brilliant white. If you think you are just going to do one room with it forget it! All your other acrylic gloss work will resemble badly stained dentures in comparison. So bear in mind, once you start you have to keep going. Skirting , doors the lot...in the whole house! If you are painting doors do the flat bits with a roller and the details with a brush and then blend. This gives a much better overall finish than doing all brushwork. You can get away with one coat but two is best (as always!) 8 Jun 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Nothing Special Having used Leyland for years previously, I decided to use it again, dissapointed is an under statement, I spent most of the time picking bits of skin or whatever from the surface I was painting, it got worse the further down the tin I got, with about an inch at the bottom, just unusable, I guess stirring the paint dislodged the dried skin from the bottom of the tin, maybe I got a bad tin 3 Jun 2016

Answer:
Hello Sunin. the viscosity of Leyland Trade Fast Drying Gloss is different to that of an oil based. the appearance of the product is thicker than that of a normal emulsion. However during application the product applies smoothly. Thanks
