LAP LED Lamp White SES 5W
Nice quality light instantly!
I replaced 11 40 Watt filament lamps with 15W fluorescent "energy saving" lamps in my living room and dining room.
These were ok but not as bright as the old filament bulbs and they took a couple of minutes to get fully bright.
6 months on I got so fed up with the poor light and slow start up that I bit the bullet and bought 11 of these LED lamps.
WOW wish I had saved the cash and done this earlier. Pardon the pun but they are quite brilliant!
They light up instantly and produce a lovely quality of light. They run cool and save over 80% electricity. Highly recommended!

Dimming performance not great
I have a varilight v-pro led dimming switch and unfortunately these bulbs have a pretty average dimming range and of course stay the same colour when dimming rather than getting warmer like a traditional bulb. For me they were a bit too white at 3000K and didn't dim low enough for me so I'll try a more well known brand and hope they perform better with a warmer colour temp around 2700K. They aren't bad as such, just pretty average as LED bulbs go.

Brighter future with these..
Having bought the LAP brand lights in the past, I have always been more than impressed with the quality of the brand.
These lights are very well made and give a very nice white light in the home.
With the price constantly getting cheaper and knowing that these lights will survive for a good few years, I would highly recommended.

I took the plunge ....
I hated previous generations of low energy bulbs they were slow to warm up and gave really poor quality light. These however are almost perfect replacements for legacy tungsten filament bulbs. I tested some LED GU10 dimmable bulbs in my kitchen, and they worked great. So I then took the plunge and changed every bulb in the house to LED. I used these bulbs in some small free standing lamps and they are perfect.
